Add a missing trail
If a trail isn't here, send it. The most useful message includes the trail name, the city and state, a link to the park or agency page, and — if you know them — the things runners ask about first:
- Surface — paved or asphalt, crushed limestone or screenings, natural dirt, boardwalk, cinder, or a mix along the route.
- Distance and shape — the loop distance, or the end-to-end length of a corridor. Please flag if the number you're giving is a whole trail system total rather than a single runnable route.
- Shade — canopy or exposed.
- Hours — open 24 hours, dawn to dusk, or posted hours, and whether the lot gets gated.
- Trailhead facts — parking (free or paid), restrooms, water, mile markers, lighting.
- Dogs and strollers — leash rules, and whether the surface takes a stroller or a wheelchair.
We list places people can genuinely run: trails, greenways, rail-trails, towpaths, multi-use paths and park trail systems. We don't list shops, gyms or running tracks — for track ovals, our sibling site RunningTracks.net is the right place.
Listing corrections
Spotted something wrong? Wrong hours, a repaved surface, a loop distance that doesn't match the sign at the trailhead, a bridge that's out, a section closed for construction, or a trail that's been permanently closed — tell us the trail name and city and we'll fix it in the next data refresh. If a listed place shouldn't be here at all because there's nothing runnable there, say so and we'll remove it.
Reviews and photos shown on trail pages come from public sources and belong to their authors. If you're an author and want something taken down, email us and we'll remove it.
Parks, agencies and trail organizations
Manage a trail — a city or county parks department, a state park, a metropark district, a conservancy, a land trust or a rail-trail friends group? Claiming your listing is free. Email us from an address at your organization's domain and we can correct details, confirm surface and mileage, update seasonal hours and closures, add a link to your official trail map, and mark the listing as verified.
Seasonal closures and construction detours are the details runners most want and most often can't find. If you send us a heads-up, we'll get it onto the listing.
Press and data
Working on a story about trail access, greenway investment or where people can actually run? Email us — we're happy to cut the numbers behind our trail stats by state, metro, surface, route shape or access hours, with attribution.
