A nice park for a walk and some fresh air. It looked like the folks fishing were doing all right too. Do be aware the restrooms have old school outhouse style toilets.
Well marked trail. Some areas are moderate to difficult. The trail is still blocked from going around the lake uninterrupted. A nice hike with good views of the lake.
Multiple entrances from around the lake and in the campground. 5 miles took me an hour 45 mins, so pretty easy. Not the prettiest of trails but gets the exercise nod. Didn't see any copperheads or bears but plenty of flying bugs from the marshy/mucky waters to fly up your nose.
I love this trail and the views it offers. Easy trails that are marked to follow. The only downside is the gunshots from the shooting range nearby disrupt nature's beautiful sounds.
