Confirmed from Alameda Creek Regional Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Flat loop along Alameda Creek that's popular for walking, jogging, biking, and horseback riding.

“Beautiful Place , Nature , animals , Nature Reserve , just no Bridge for Cross Alameda creek to the Front of the bay”
“Not quite a trail in the classic sense but the two paths that run along Alameda creek are great for walking, running or biking.”
Nice little hiking trail. Pretty flat and pet friendly. Also horses on the trail as well.
Not quite a trail in the classic sense but the two paths that run along Alameda creek are great for walking, running or biking. The north side is paved with gravel, the south side is paved with asphalt.
Awesome trail. Very flat. Perfect for walking, jogging, and biking. It leads to the Coyote Hills Regional Park and the bay. Beautiful view. Lots of birds.
I really like going to the Alameda Creek Regional Trail for a relaxed walk. If you walk for about 1 hr and 20 minutes, you will get to the water on the bay. There's a table and a few benches. You can see the San Mateo Bridge on your right and the Dumbarton Bridge on your left. It's a nice and very relaxing walk.
Trail conditions & character
“Beautiful Place , Nature , animals , Nature Reserve , just no Bridge for Cross Alameda creek to the Front of the bay”
“I recommend the portion close to coyote hills because it gives you the option of walking through the slough, hills ir salt ponds.”
“The rest is similar to most of the rails to trails and other paved non-vehicular paths in the area.”
“The Alameda horse stables parking lot is a good place to park.”
“There's also some dirt/gravel trails that are comfortable on pretty much any bike aside a pure road bike.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
