Confirmed from Alkire Woods Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Alkire Woods Park
“Great big toy, picnic tables, clean and a walking trail goes around the space”
So much fun and walking distance from our neighborhood! Great big toy, picnic tables, clean and a walking trail goes around the space
This is a nice neighborhood park. It has a paved walking path although a short distance, playground equipment, picnic tables, benches and a shelter house. There is only on street parking in front of the park. Also there aren't any restrooms. The woods part of the park are a work in progress.
Beautiful play ground, picnic pavilion and lots of room to run around.
This is a nice neighborhood park with a short paved walking path, playground, picnic tables, benches, and a shelter. Parking is only on the street, and there are no restrooms. The wooded areas are still being worked on—trails are partially cleared but need more work.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
