Confirmed from Armco Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful park with trails for all levels, hiking and biking. Plenty of shelters and playgrounds scattered throughout. Has an extensive archery range with many lifelike archery targets.

Armco is nice. Very crowded with the new Disc Golf there. I couldn’t find the actual walking trails there were so many there: So I came back on Tuesday and what a difference. This place is like Carter caves without driving that far. The trails are nice and spacious.. trails are kept very clean so far.

Beautiful & peaceful. Several large shelters are available for family gatherings as well as many covered picnic tables. Several playgrounds are available with many next to the shelters for convenience. Choice of shade or bright sunny areas. Walking paths & clean restrooms are available as well as outdoor games.

A very beautiful and peaceful place to take a nice walk. A lot of steep hills, for good cardio. There is also a nice trail walk. Shows some history. I enjoy the trail walk also. But I like walking the park also. After I take a walk up and down those hills, I feel like I've actually done something.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
