Confirmed from Arroyo Trabuco Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Arroyo Trabuco Trail
“Rugged trail, water crossing's, be aware of snakes, horse's also use trail so be alert, beautiful environment”
“While close to the stream it is cool and shaded, but it has long stretches along the edge of the Canyon where it gets unbearably bright and hot.”
This a tough hike due to distance and sun exposure. Take plenty of water and sunblock. While close to the stream it is cool and shaded, but it has long stretches along the edge of the Canyon where it gets unbearably bright and hot.
Long winding and shaded trails. I went for a trail run, but I saw a few hikers and Mountain bikes while running. It has hills and long flat stretches. Seems like a good trail for people of all skill levels. I'm definitely going back to explore some more of it.
Trail is maintained. Totally doable with kids. There are areas where you could walk your dog. Aside from a nice breeze, you get an awesome view.
Great bit of suburban wilderness public land that is maintained informally by mountain bikers, runners, and hikers.
