Confirmed from Ash Woods Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational park featuring a playground, hiking trails, a splash pad, activity court & picnic area.
What runners say about Ash Woods Park
“Play area for kids to play, a small ground where you can run around, some woody areas with shade where you can have a family picnic, a basketball court where you can play ball!”
Super nice park located inside a community. This park is big and has a lot to offer - a trail loop to walk or run around. Play area for kids to play, a small ground where you can run around, some woody areas with shade where you can have a family picnic, a basketball court where you can play ball!
Ash Woods Park is a nice community park for dog walks, kids playground, playpark, splash pad, basketball court, and open lawn. There are benches under huge trees (shaded areas). We have had a nice community sports day here. Every year the community celebrates Easter egg hunt for kids.
Ok so this place is honestly amazing now. They tore out the old playground and opened a brand new one back in January, and apparently the city spent around $513k on it which is wayyy more than what playgrounds usually cost lol.
Two playgrounds, walking sidewalk around perimeter, basketball court, plenty of room to play soccer, fly kit. Also, has covered seating as well as picnic tables around. During the warmer months they have a splash area.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
