Confirmed from Avon Nature Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a kid-friendly hiking trail and opportunities to spot wildlife.
What runners say about Avon Nature Area
“There were no markings so I had to pay attention on where I was going and where I came from, lots of cute little animals all around plus gorgeous flowers.”
“Peaceful and secluded, perfect for a prayer walk 💜.”
No dogs or bicycles. Clinton River and wooded area, elevations and simply gorgeous. Turned the day into a 2.66 mile hike through. Loved every second.
Good access to the Clinton river. I see some people walk their dogs or just enjoy the environment and fishing too, but be careful of the woods in the water. There are a lot of fallen trees in the water that your lure can get caught on
I walked this trail after work today, so peaceful. There were no markings so I had to pay attention on where I was going and where I came from, lots of cute little animals all around plus gorgeous flowers.
Surprise, I met my son and family here. There were birds and deer on the trail and the trail was clear and walking not to difficult to traverse the trails. Nice streams with small rapids here. More than 1 trail and different distances and levels of difficulty.
