Confirmed from Azalea Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 23-acre park features athletic fields, basketball courts, paved pathways & a playground.
What runners say about Azalea Park
“The dog and playground facilities are top-notch — clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out.”
“Our dogs absolutely love being able to roam and run around the enclosures.”
The playground, dog park and community gardens look nice. The walking trails were a little difficult to follow because the trail map is really faded. We couldn't complete the trail by the river because a large tree had fallen on the path. By the looks of it, quite some time ago also.
The grass came back! Excellent dog park with friendly dog owners. Always a blast and my dogs always have fun- near wegmans area so super close! Try to go during 5-6p so you can run into other dog owners and get your dogs some good exercise!!
Nice park for morning walk. However, walking trail is not that visible. They were full of plants. It was difficult to walk.
It has nice basketball and baseball fields. The playground sets are good. The trails are too short.
Trail conditions & character
“Beautiful little dog park, two large fenced run areas, busy today with about 10 dogs, but everyone was really nice and a good time was had by all.”
“The restrooms were locked but we could use the portable ones - it seams many people could, if you know what I mean 😂”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
