Well maintained trailhead at the end of NF-11, offering dispersed camping along the road as well as pit toilets at the trailhead. Trail splits after a mile to the east bank Baker Lake Trail. Great old growth forest, excellent lake and river views.
The first portion of the trail [about 1/2 mile] up to the suspension bridge is flat and marvelous. You will see 1000 year old cedar trees, a variety of plants and spectacular views of the river near the end of this section of the trail. The forest has a lot of vine and big leaf maples and the air is fresh.
You can get to the trailhead with all the rain and warmer weather. Great trail. cross the bridge and take baker lake trail if you want to see all the waterfalls .... only giving it 4 out of 5 because the trail could be cleaned up a bit, lots a down trees... granted it is the off season
Pretty trail through the woods, with several wooden bridges. The boards were very slick and slimy, precarious footing. Very large fallen trees to crawl over. There was a very nice campground with picnic table at the end, at Noisy Creek.
