This is a vernal pool, meaning it only has water in the winter and spring. There are several hiking trails totaling maybe 4 or 5 miles in the area, but also plenty of space to explore if you're up for it! This is my favorite place to hang out if I want some nature time.
Visited September 2022 and the pond was dried up. It was cool to see the water line on the rocks and trees. A little bit buggy but not too bad. There's a small bench near the pond to rest for a few while you continue the trails. Cute peaceful area in the city.
