2024 Nov 11: Update: this year's dry season is good for hiking. Saw a sizable 4 feet diameter cute turtle w neck out today. Wondered why people eat turtle 🐢 soup. Humans, the species I belong. Very yellow brown, golden, shining, crossing the trail, guess we both felt lucky. V-e-r-y c-u-t-e.
