Confirmed from Bartow Trailhead, Fort Fraiser Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bartow Trailhead, Fort Fraiser Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (20 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Totally peaceful and serene!”

Great trail. Better for walking than riding. Rough terrain and lots of grass. E-bike is probably fine. Lots of wildlife. Totally peaceful and serene!🚵‍♂️

Started at Bartow Trail head and rode the 9 miles on our non electric bicycles to the end. One part was not marked across the busy street but looking around, I saw the larger bicycle paved path. All major street crossing have buttons to push to get the walk sign.

This is a great little parking lot to access the southern start point of the Fort Fraise trail. This parking lot is by a nice little lake and has shaded parking.

★★★★★ — Wez , May 2017

Nice bike riding trail. But many times the oncoming bikes won't move over and can cause an issue. There are a few times when you must deal with traffic. But over all..a decent bike trial. you can ride up to 20 miles on this trail. I take a camera with me . I've seen some very nice wildlife on this trail. Pastor Chuck

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
