Confirmed from Bayview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This small bayside park with shade trees & benches offers views of the San Diego skyline.
What runners say about Bayview Park
“Bay View Park is at the end of my street in Coronado on I Avenue and First Street with a great view of the beautiful San Diego Bay.”
This is one of the most beautiful little parks I've ever been to. Nothing elaborate. Just a simple little outcropping on Coronado Island with a few benches and a walk path, but the view and vibe is what makes it golden.
This is the best place to get a real panoramic view of downtown San Diego. It’s not too crowded and nice place to walk.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
