Confirmed from Bear Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open green space for sports and other activities such as kite-flying and drone-flying.
What runners say about Bear Creek Park
“I would love some more shade, checkout #TerahGardens for ideas on what we could plant here for a lovely shaded border around the park for more enjoyment.”
I only come here to let my dog Bella run around, but it's a great spot because this field is so large and open. It's very popular for dog owners to take their furry Friends here!
There’s a playground, baseball field and open field for kids or dogs to run and/play in. There’s trees along side the sidewalk to sit in a cool shade. It was nice to have a place to go to for my girls to get some fresh air during the pandemic. We would grab lunch, sit and enjoy the outdoors.
Great open green space for running around with your dog. There's a playground and baseball / soccer field too. Or if you're in a quiet mood you can sit by the creek and watch ospreys fly to their nests and ducks wading by.
Beautiful, open & inviting, airy, lots of room for the kiddos to run n play there's even playground equipment, baseball/softball field pre-marked & a few picnic tables to eat as u will. Maintained by the City of St. Petersburg very nicely.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
