Confirmed from Bear Ridge and Sitton Peak Loop Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Bear Ridge and Sitton Peak Loop Trail
I did a 9.7 mile out and back on May 1, 2021. The parking is on Hwy 74, just across from the Candy Store, and there is a fee, you can buy a parking pass at the store if you don't have the yearly pass. The trailhead is on the south side of the street, just west of the store.
Love this trail... shhhhh people don't realize how cool it is. Fun 10 miles or so. Not too long and a lot of fun!
Bear Canyon trail to Sitton Peak - Lovely hike though we did not have enough daylight left to make it to the Peak, we just did the ridge loop. If you don't have a parking pass the shop across the street sells them. The parking area is across the the street from the trailhead, and across from the Ortega Oaks store.
The view was really pretty🩷 But you have to know that it’s a Long Trail. Relatively flat road.✨👍🏻 We came late in the evening, that’s why we couldn’t go to until the end of the trail. 🥲 But we went till the middle of the trail so you should go in the morning.☀️🌱
