We love Bells Neck! I grew up in these woods, and now I get to walk around with my family on the same trails my tiny feet walked! Please please though, if your dog doesnt stay right by your side or come when you call them-keep them on a leash!
This is one of the best trail spots on the Cape, varied walking trails around lakes, waterways, and woodlands. Excellent for kayaking, fishing, birding, and wildlife photography. During herring season, a nearby working herring run enables you to see them jump up the ladder.
Nice place for a walk. It wasn’t busy when we went. There’s lots of tree cover to escape a blazing summer sun. People were fishing off a bridge (or maybe lowering crab pots, we didn’t look closely). But it’s really easy to get to, and if you walk around the reservoir, you’ll connect to the rail trail.
