We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Bemis Woods North Grove #5 yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bemis Woods North Grove #5

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (26 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Trails were clean, lots of birds, and everyone was respectful.”

I love coming here to kayak or to fish, or both. You can find a quite spot to rest in your car if needed. Beautiful forest and amazing trails for biking, walking, whatever. Closes at sunset so no overnight stays. Can be crowded near bridge and noisy as well but usually it’s peaceful.

Always amazed by nature's beauty and magic. Clean, organized, and safe. Public portable restrooms are available. Picnic area with barbecue. Trails both paved and unpaved. Diverse plants, and birds. I enjoy visiting every time. Happy Fourth of July 🎉🎉🎉 Thank You!

Great park, trails, picnic areas, open fields, forested areas, shelters and a river running through it.

★★★★☆ — Den , Aug 2022

We came down from Wiscosnin to visit with a doctor. We brought our Great Pyrenees as we didn't want to leave him alone all day. This forest preserve, while in no way comparable to our county parks, was really what he needed to stretch out, piddle and walk around. People were friendly and open to a big fluffy dog.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
