Confirmed from Big Break Regional Shoreline's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural park on a river delta, a breeding ground for birdlife & turtles, with a visitor center.

“Not a ton of variety in the trails but there is something here for all ages including a sand pit and small dock.”
It is a regional shoreline! For me being in Antio h and Brentwoid area this place is so near. It is got nice paved bike road alone the shore. Due to thick Vegetation you will not be see the shore.
Our family loves Big Break. Great paved trails for getting a nice walk with lovely scenery. Also a few well beaten paths to explore, small and pleasant. Well maintained space with a great visitor's center. The docents at the center are the absolute best!!
I made my first trip here yesterday, view is beautiful, nice trail to run, lots of birds, and creatures, I fell while jogging but it didn’t stop me from finishing my 10k, and it was well worth it.
Unexpected… visitor center was open (and it’s lovely). Tons of information plus a hike challenge for the year! Great way to start our delta explorations today!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
