Confirmed from Bigleaf Slopes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park offering 4.5 miles of shared-use hiking and biking trails through wooded and open space.
What runners say about Bigleaf Slopes Park
“My only complaint is that there's a stretch of the trail that wasn't clearly marked and it forked with no signs.”
“It's a quiet area and the woods are really nice to ride through.”
“And would LOVE to take my dogs to walk there.”
Finally got to visit this new park to see the awesome work that both First Flight Bicycles and the Tarheel Trailblazers did to build a new 2.6 mile phase one MTB trail. Great job and good scenery, especially of the rare Bigleaf Magnolia Trees.
Great park for a trail run hike or biking...noticeably better in the fall and spring the overrun with Poison ivy and mosquitoes in the summer. Lots of little signs telling what plants are in this type parcel of land and slightly technical trails with lots of hills
I went early in the morning and it was very peaceful. One other car there at the time. There are atleast 4 parking spots. Possibly others. Has a large handicap Porta potty there. Have a separate area for changing clothes too. Hiking and mountain biking. Dog walking. Next to a golf course.
Great trail, just long enough for a good walk with the puppies. Looks like a nice bike trail as well. There was a bathroom by the parking lot and a bike repair station. Lots of trail marks. Some hills but nothing crazy, average difficulty.
Trail conditions & character
“very nice trail but people need to keep their dogs on leashes.”
“We only did the blue loop, but there's a branch point about 1/2 way around where you can go on the orange trail.”
“There is a permanently installed bike repair station, changing room, and a porta potty on site as well.”
“Lots of little signs telling what plants are in this type parcel of land and slightly technical trails with lots of hills”
“It's a quiet area and the woods are really nice to ride through.”

“We loved the tree and other information markers long the trail.”
“Very good moderate hike in a rather accessible area, cant recommend enough for local hikers.”
