Visited on a rainy weekday, and it turned out to be the perfect time to experience this place. Bloedel Reserve is probably my favourite park in Washington. The rain made everything feel even more peaceful and alive.
"Nature doesn't need man, but man needs nature." Beautiful and well maintained gardens, walking paths and water features. Japanese garden is beautiful but a bit under whelming. The residents house and view of the sound are fantastic. We went mid-day on a Wednesday, no crowds, very peaceful.
Beautifull, beautiful place! Well maintained, calm, amazing landscape. I especially liked the small lake. It takes around 1 hour to walk around it. Needs booking, 15 minute drive from the ferry docking point.
Bloedel is a short 15-20min drive out of Bainbridge and opens at 10:30 to the public. Online it had stated 10am(google maps) and when we arrived we were told it was members only but we could go in to purchase our tickets 10min before 10:30.
