Confirmed from Bog Meadow Brook Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve featuring gravel trails, wetlands, and beaver dams, popular with hikers and dog owners.
What runners say about Bog Meadow Brook Nature Trail
“All seasons are beautiful, lots of dogs, which is actually nice to see.”
“since accused to be a railroad, it's a very straight walk and a very easy Trail.”
This trail is just a straight line with 3 trail heads but it's got some decent views. You pass a big lake then go through woody wetlands. There are tons of mosquitos so bring bug spray and wear good shoes. Part of the trail is gravel but the rest is old wood with mud on it and it's a bit slippery.
This is an excellent trail, and read the history and informational signs along the way!
It's a delightful short thru or out and back hike. 2+ miles one way. The path is flat and level and wide ,easy to follow. Starts in a safe parking lot on rt 29 crushed gravel for 1/2 mile. Soon it follows an old rail bed with ties and tree roots underfoot. Not hard, just watch your step.
This Trail used to be an old railroad. You can still see parts of the track further down the trail. It is very Scenic and beautiful. You're surrounded by swamp and there are streams cutting through the path itself. since accused to be a railroad, it's a very straight walk and a very easy Trail.
