Confirmed from Bonelli Park Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picnicking, hiking, and other outdoor activities are available at this park featuring a lake.
What runners say about Bonelli Park Trail
“Great place to walk and to enjoy yourself with family always very clean great bike trails👍😎”
“Beautiful park that is very well under used, sitting here on a picture perfect Sunday and nobody around.”
Took my family here for a second time. The weather was cold this time around, but still had a great time. Close to LA but a world away from city life. We tried our luck fishing but didn't catch anything. Other people we talked to said they caught trout.
I came down here for an unexpected short visit from Santa Cruz located 6 hours north. Glad I brought my mountain bike. Now I'm used to riding in the mountains with redwood forests by the coast but I really enjoyed the long trails and steep areas along with the various types of vegetation and beautiful eco systems…
Beautiful park that is very well under used, sitting here on a picture perfect Sunday and nobody around. The park has a nice little lake with a boat ramp, nice trails, plenty of picnic tables, and an amazing amount of green grass. Highly recommended!!
The view from this hike was beautiful. Started off as a pretty mellow walk around the lake than gets into a nice hike.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
