Confirmed from Bray Family Homestead Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bray Family Homestead Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (68 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“A beautiful place to walk calmly and enjoy the sound and smell of nature.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“This park is simple, nice, and quiet with short/easy trails- not paved but smooth and easy.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Our dog loves to go to this park for a walk in the woods.”

With a S R 38 address we missed the entrance. You need to turn north on Hinkle Rd to enter. Study the map at the entrance carefully before walking through the farm. The path through the old growth woods circles around, was longer than we wanted to walk. A country experience.

A fantastic experience for learning all about maple trees and the art of making maple syrup. The tours are incredibly well-organized, running every 30 minutes like clockwork. Be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot!

Went to Maple Madness event and it was awesome. Park would be interesting in the summer with wooded trails and garden plots.

★★★★★ — Jennifer , Feb 2020

This park is simple, nice, and quiet with short/easy trails- not paved but smooth and easy. Includes a community garden, creek, original homestead barns/buildings, and a nature restoration area. Great place to go and clear your mind.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
