Confirmed from Brengle Terrace Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Local park in Vista with some alternate sporting events. Multiple baseball parks, basketball courts, Bocce ball lanes, tennis, pickle ball courts, sand volleyball area, and a full course for Frisbee golf. Multiple picnic areas and playgrounds for children.

The entire grounds of Brengle Terrace Park is huge! We spend almost 3 hours here and could have easily spent even longer. We played on the playground and then went up the hill to the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens. See my next post for more info about the gardens.

★★★★☆ — Rebecca , May 2021

Brengle Terrace Park is the probably the best park in the city of Vista. There are baseball fields, outdoor and indoor basketball courts, tennis courts, indoor recreational facilities, playgrounds, picnic tables, plenty of greenspace, public restrooms in various places, frisbee golf and more.

★★★★★ — Joe , Jul 2023

Very clean park even if it was dog friendly. Trails are easy and wide. Know obstacles to traverse. Plants and trees I've never seen before. A must see, if in san diego.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
