Confirmed from Brigantino Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Brigantino Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (196 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“A lot of people walk their dogs here and even though there are signs requesting you clean up after your dog, there was a lot of dog poop right along the trail.”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions
🐕 dog-walking favorite 6 mentions

“Recommend this park for dogs that like to walk their humans 😉”

The park is great, the dirt track is a little over a mile around the park and there is tons of open space in the middle. I love bringing my dogs here to walk. The only problem is other dog owners. It is not a dog park, but there is one in hollister.

I love this park, pets friendly. I come here twice a week for a quick run, a whole lap is a little over a mile, parking lot big enough and spacious, there are restrooms all over the park so that’s a good thing.

★★★★★ — Valerio , Nov 2021

First time experience the walk through the grass has lots of big holes and saw a lots of poop that was not picked up considering they have doggy bags to dispose the poop. The walk around the grassy fields was nice possibly a mile or mile and a half walk.

★★★★☆ — Rudy , Apr 2018

Big fields on two levels of many acres. The lower level is a lush lawn and the upper is more of a weedy field. Off-leash, well-behaved dogs are often seen accompanying owners. Just as many are leashed up. It is usually sparsely occupied.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 47 mentions

“Be careful with your dogs though and DON'T let them roam off leash at any time as mountain lions/cougars have been known to frequent the area and there have been sightings.”
