Confirmed from Brighton Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling park offers riding, hiking & biking trails, plus water sports, campsites & horse stables.
What runners say about Brighton Recreation Area
“It was extremely clean, well-maintained and there was a ton of room inside.”
“Lake Bishop is beautiful for a morning or afternoon walk.”
“Quiet time at 10pm is highly enforced so after that it's extremely quiet in the park but great for a quiet family camping trip.”
This place is a must for Annual Harvest Festival Campout! The best Halloween fun for kids. This year was our second year and we will be coming back for sure. People invest so much to prepare their campsites with Halloween decorations. There are many activities for kids.
A great place to bike, hike and run. Many trails that offer a peaceful time with nature. Completed a snowy hike with the Michigan Gravel Grinders group and look forward to going back again soon
Gorgeous place, very clean. Most fellow campers were families. Tons of RVs. We were in the Lower Campground. There were a few loud talkers camping near us who stayed up past 11 pm, but that only bothered me bc my kid was afraid.
We were camped on an outer edge of the camping area, vs in the middle and we had electric hookups for our class c. Very nice modern shower and restroom facilities were one site away. Lots of equipment you could rent or borrow for corn hole, ladder ball, geocaching, and kayaking, etc.
