Confirmed from Brook Forest/ Middlebrook Walking Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“I would like to see the gazebo near the small Middlebrook bridge rebuilt, but it's mostly well maintained.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“This day in the winter, was quiet and easy going during a short spell of below freezing cold front.”

Brook Forest/ Middlebrook Walking Trails … along a small creek or bayou. It’s a narrow trail bordered by towering pine trees in some spots. Pretty area. You can add some up & down elevation by taking the crossover paths and going under the bridges.

Very calm and natural walking trial. Our kids love to watch turtles, little fish, ducks etc., clean air to breath. But NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS, so hold your P., cleaning is good so far. Concrete pavments need to be fixed. BEWARE OF UNEVEN CONCRET PAVMENTS.

My best alternate place to nature walk on good concrete pathway, after the completed and expanded phase project on both sides of El Dorado in Clear Lake. The bonus about this location, is there’s not that much foot and bike traffic here on a winter’s day, compared to the great phase project addition for the residents…

Great trail. Wish people who jog would give warning "passing on the left..." while passing. Have jumped with fear quite a few times by most who don't give this common courtesy

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
