Confirmed from Brook Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Brook Trail
“Beautiful places to share good moments.”
Free. Only a few spots to park, more parking close by and across the cove. I can usually find a spot. My favorite place to park when I want to go to Back Cove (5K loop)to walk/jog/run or chill! 😊
Small parking lot with maybe 15 spots. Provides access to the nearby park system as well as the paved waterfront path with views of downtown. Pretty popular spot so parking may be tough during peak times.
Water view, unpaved wide trail and small parking lot behind Payson Park

The practical stuff

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
