Confirmed from Buda Amphitheater & City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious, verdant park with picnic tables, playground and splash pad.
What runners say about Buda Amphitheater & City Park
“It looked clean and spacious, plenty of room for the adults to sit and observe or chase the tiny children who needed an adult to stay with them.”
“The place is surronded by a beautiful park, have basketball yard, voleiball net, family friendly with a playground that keep kids busy and active.”
“Only things that would make it better are more benches closer to the play areas (we brought chairs), and some more shade.”
New Buda children park area. Wide play area, many challenging structures for children, I encourage supervision but appreciate the 'free range' children elements of the park. The park has a water play area, not running in the winter but should be great in the summer months. Nice open picnic benches without shelter.
The best farmer's market is under the shaded pavilion (basketball court) every Sunday 10am-2pm! It is so enjoyable to be under the cover and actually get to sit and enjoy some snacks instead of roasting in some parking lot and running for your life afterwards!
Buda Amphitheater and City Park is such a gem for families and honestly anyone who just wants to be outside. The playgrounds are big and creative and even my teenager had fun climbing and hanging out. The splash pad is clean and well-kept which made it a total hit on a hot day.
Buda Farmer Market opens at 10 AM on Sundays. It is worth a visit. Very nice people, an inviting community environment, refreshments and allot of healthy food. Flowers too. Walking distance from the shops and restaurants on Main Street. A good Sunday.
