Confirmed from Buffalo Bill Cody Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Buffalo Bill Cody Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (508 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Really shows Kansas off in a natural beautiful relaxing way.”

We didn't plan on going to this park, but we were super glad we stopped. 5+ swings, multiple slides, small creek down the hill, walking path around the playground & large pavilion that could be used for small birthdays/events. Would highly recommend for families with littles that love to play!

Had a blast here. Bathrooms were crazy dirty though. Full of bugs. I mean it's to be expected at a public park but it was kinda creepy. Toilets were gross. I wish people would take better care of public restrooms. The park itself though is super fun. Big parking lot.

Nice park with a large playground. And a nice area for picnics and birthday parties. It has a couple of racket ball courts and a very nice baseball field. There is a nice walking trail near the creek that runs the the entire park. I like to walk there. The track length is around a mile, It's posted on the path.

★★★★☆ — Kim , Feb 2018

Walking trail that leads by a stream where my dog can get a drink of water. The pickle ball courts are newly renovated, and always being used when my dog Billy and I visit each weekend. The basketball courts, as well as the children's play area are always occupied when we come visit.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 5 mentions

“There's parking on both sides and restrooms by the tennis courts.”
