Confirmed from Canyon Hills Lookout's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Canyon Hills Lookout
“The lookout offers a beautiful view of the valley, lake and mountains.”
“Very easy and short trail that leads to an orange bench and quiet, peaceful views.”
Fun hike with the kiddos. The lookout offers a beautiful view of the valley, lake and mountains. There is a covered bench where you can sit and admire the view. We continued up the mountain for an hour hike after taking a pit stop here.
Good place to relax. Small hike and easy to complete. View is wonderful from the top
Very easy and short trail that leads to an orange bench and quiet, peaceful views. There’s also a pile of rocks with motivational phrases/words that’s nice to look at. There are hilly areas behind it to explore but I mainly went for the bench. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beginner/kid-friendly trail!
Marvelous view! I got about 3/4 up the hill with the dog, then I got a little scared to go any higher because it got very steep. I will need more practice.
