Confirmed from Carpenter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Carpenter Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (431 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“In Winter, the trees are lit and give a beautiful Winter Wonderland ambience.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“There are some shady areas for those who need to take a break from the heat.”

Beautiful park! I lived in this town in the 80s-90s and am so pleased to see how well it has developed. The playground equipment looks pretty new. The trails look safe and adequate for walking, jogging, running, bike riding, etc. There are some shady areas for those who need to take a break from the heat.

"Carpenter Park" is a very big park. It has many picnic tables for one to enjoy their lunch. Includes a decent size basketball court and playground for kids. Great for a birthday party and enjoy being with the family for a walk.

This park has been recently revamped. The paved path around thr outer edge is smooth and varies in level to give your walk/run some variance. The park is smaller, but a park none the less. The kids seem to love it. There's a disc golf course, built in bag ramps (two sets) a basketball court, and a stage.

Always my favorite place. Over 100 years of history, blacktop paths, cornhole, frolf, basketball court, pavilions, grills, Veteran's Garden and nature are what keep me coming back. In Winter, the trees are lit and give a beautiful Winter Wonderland ambience.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
