Confirmed from Catawba Park - Tega Cay's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean, open park with playgrounds and fields for baseball and soccer, plus a stage for outdoor events.
What runners say about Catawba Park - Tega Cay
“Fields are always well maintained and plenty of fields.”
“Beautiful park, nearly new with multiple venues for outdoor exercise and youth sports.”
“They really did a nice job constructing the park, but the one negative I feel is the lack of shaded areas for warm weather usage.”
We liked it. It seemed like it was pretty new (either that or well taken care of). A really neat playground for kids to play on and it was a pretty big playground. It has benches located around the playground and more than a few of them are shaded (which is really nice).
Catawba Park was well planned, nicely laid out and has several bathroom buildings. This playground will get HOT in the warmer seasons as there is no shade cover and the ground is recycled materials. There was an attempt at covered benches for parents but they don’t offer much shade.
Great athletic park with soccer and baseball fields. A few benches, small playground, some restrooms. Big open field with a stage for events. The baseball and soccer fields don’t have any bleachers for spectators however. There is a paved trail that goes around the park. Not much shade or trees.
Beautiful park, nearly new with multiple venues for outdoor exercise and youth sports.multuple astro turn fields for flag football and soccer. Two large ball diamonds walking path that encircles the facility. Playground equipment with multiple slides and climbing devices are a hit with toddlers and youngsters.
