Confirmed from Centennial Reservation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Wonderful place for off leash dog walking.”

This park has multiple large fields with long grass and a woven network of wide paths. There is a small shallow pond for pups to swim. Forest-trails run adjacent to the main fields. Parking is limited, but you will typically be able to find a spot. Dogs are free to roam off leash.

★★★★★ — Daniel , Aug 2018

Great place to take dogs for some exploring! There are plenty of trails that are easy to follow. There is also a small pond with tributary streams for swimming (for dogs) -- most days it looks pretty clean, but other days you probably want to stay away.

★★★★★ — Alec , May 2018

A nice park for people to walk dogs. There are paths to explore and a pond the dogs can run, play, and swim in. But if you want to walk in pristine natural surroundings, this isn't the place. The landscape ilooks worn and tired from decades of heavy use.

★★★★☆ — Chuck , Oct 2019

Awesome place for a short hike with a furry friend! There's lot's of space and most dogs roam off leash. The parking lot is pretty small tho 15-20 spots

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 8 mentions

“The parking lot gets full around mid-morning, but there are a few access points to the trails with additional parking if you can't find a spot in the main lot.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
