Confirmed from Chisholm Trail Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Chisholm Trail Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (221 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Its clean, organized, and has quite a bit of space for just about any park activity.”

Great park for family and walking. The scenery isn't anything special however they have a large selection of sport areas from soccer, basketball, frisbee, all the way to fields for football and baseball. The walking trail makes superb use of the space allowing for a great safe area to walk.

Fabulous park for a walk! The sidewalk is very wide and smooth so it’s great to go with a stroller! We walked 3 strollers wide and just moved when others needed to pass. There’s a couple playgrounds along the walk. One that’s right off the path has a restroom. There are cameras along the sidewalk for security.

They have everything you need for a family day in the park. A playground, basketball courts, volleyball net, soccer fields, a walking trail and best part is the pickelball courts. They have public restrooms. Perfect for a picnic date as well. We love it here and great location !

Lots of open space, softball fields, basketball court, walking paths. During softball games however you will find a lack of available parking. People end up parking in the grass which is now a giant dirt field.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“Bathroom was very dirty but I don't know the cleaning schedule and it was over the school holiday, so it may not be the norm.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
