Confirmed from Chisholm Trail Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Chisholm Trail Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (28 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

It's a well maintained trail that goes for several miles providing quite a bit of greenery for your viewing pleasure as opposed to all the gray surrounding it. Nice to see the abundance of wildlife.

★★★★☆ — Jonathon , May 2019

This is my first time riding the trail since I recently relocated to the area. I got on the trail at Harrington Park and rode up Creek to the main area where the trail winds out underneath the power lines. On the way back I got mixed up and got on the bluebonnet trail so I ended up riding a lot longer than I intended.

★★★★★ — Joe , Aug 2023

Beautiful wide bike or walk trail along Spring Creek just west of downtown Plano and Central Expwy.

★★★★★ — William , Sep 2020

An amazing place to take a good long walk or run. Nicely paved and a safe place to put in your earbuds and do you own thing.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
