Confirmed from City Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling park featuring a lake and an amphitheater along with many other amenities.

This is a beautiful park. It’s big it’s clean you can fish you can bring your dog kept on a leash. There was children playing in the playground. There was a birthday party in the pavilion family atmosphere safe walking trails. I can’t say enough, for a small town like Albemarle this park is a big great park.
Great place to walk, play disc golf, cycle or walk your pet... even if your pet is an 18 ft python. Water sports, great playground, and pavillions with picnic tables and BBQ you can reserve. The restrooms are clean and stocked. Watch out for copious poison ivy...and 18ft pythons.
Pretty park. Nice for walking, but the trail does not circle the lake, it doubles back through the woods. Has playground for kids, restrooms. Has places to launch boats into lake. Docks you can walk out onto.
City Lake Park is a really great little park. The lake is very pretty, there’s lots of wildlife around, and the disc golf course is honestly one of the highlights for me. I’ve played there multiple times and always enjoyed it.
