Confirmed from City of Palm Desert Ironwood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Amazing little park tucked in the quiet homes south of Haystack. This park has changed/improved a great deal over time. It is now lightly fenced in. Has a very cool playground designed for 5-12 year old children. Large green space. Small parking lot out front, but done street parking as well!

We meet up with some friends at this park. It is a nice quiet park. I also did my oldest daughters senior pictures here a lovely scenic park. Only downside is the bathrooms don't have any soap. This is a odd thing to be missing especially in Palm Desert because the city is usually wonderful at the upkeep of each park.

★★★★☆ — Heather , Dec 2019

My favorite little park. It has the usual playground equipment with some extra spinning things for torturing any parents dumb enough to allow their children to push them. The playground equipment is shaded, which is great all year around but essential in the summer.

★★★★★ — Simon , Feb 2018

Very clean and comfortable. Large area for children to play, with swings, slides and other useful and fun equipment for children. Green area well maintained, with maintenance crews seen very often emptying garbage cans washing down covered rest areas .

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
