Confirmed from Cody Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring seasonal concessions, an animal enclosure, a train display, sports facilities & more.
What runners say about Cody Park
“The park is clean, well kept and so much to do.”
“I love to bring my dogs and get such a good long large walk, see the animals, and just enjoy the space they keep so beautiful.”
We were in town for 2 nights and needed to take my daughter someplace to run around. I saw Cody Park on the map but had no idea what it included. We were shocked and highly impressed. First we saw a pool then rides and as we continued the loop an Elk swimming and deer! I didn't even know there were animals here.
Great place to stay and camp a few days. There are no hook ups or showers, but this is not to be missed if you're in the area. The park is clean, well kept and so much to do. There are four playgrounds, a zoo, a pool, ball field and small amusement park area for kids with rides.
I love this place! Highly recommend visiting if you're in this area. Free of charge. Walk thru and hands on exhibits. Very educated gentleman located in their indoor museum lobby. Great museum and only one of its kind in the world!
I love taking my kids here during the summer and hit the concession stand. It's amazing. I love to bring my dogs and get such a good long large walk, see the animals, and just enjoy the space they keep so beautiful.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
