Confirmed from Cold Spring Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sports options from basketball to softball, plus a fishing spot, picnic areas, and a toddler-friendly playground.
What runners say about Cold Spring Park
“However, props to Woonsocket for keeping that park up to par, clean and in good condition.”
“Beautiful spot to end that section of the bike path!”
Very nice park for all seasons...has lots of walking trails that are paved, lots of shaded areas, very nice playground, there are baseball fields and a paved put-in for the river. In the winter, there are plenty of hills to slide down on your favorite snow glider.
Pleasant place to be. Kids, boys and girls can have fun and there is cycling and walking track for adults. Tennis and basketball courts are very well maintained. Kids playing area is clean and friendly.
Is a nice park, it has a playground for kids to play in, a basketball court, softball field, a walk way, as well as bike path to ride your bike and is all along the river. The softball field and basketball playground could use a little love , Is a nice place. Along this path I walk an hour and it.
This is a 4 min drive from home. I love to take my grand children here with my pup. During the summer months, I wait until sundown, or even late evening to take the dog. I let him run a few laps off leak within the enclosed baseball fields.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
