2026 Update. Still one of the best Great walk during any time of the year. This trail is part of the Farmington River Trail not be confused with the Farmington Canal trail which you do connect to but the river trail has tremendous views. Great walk in the summer with lots of activities to enjoy along your walk
A wonderful trail, we love riding bicycles and enjoying the river view along side us for miles.
Parking for this trail can be found behind the Canton Public Works building on River Road. There is a public restroom available and a small baseball field. This is a nice paved path for walking, biking, scooting, etc. right on the Farmington River.
Parking for the walking trail is begind the Canton Department of Public Works. The gravel lot has space for 15-20 cars. During today's visit, people were launching canoes and kayaks from their vehicles. The views of the river are beautiful, with many enjoying time on the water.
