Confirmed from Comanche Trail West Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Outdoor green space equipped with a playground and a disc golf course.
What runners say about Comanche Trail West Park
“Playground for kids was nice and clean as well as a covered picnic area that was too.”
“Has great areas for scenic pictures.”
“Great place to enjoy walking, jogging.”
“I love that it has so many shade, you can feel the freshness in the air and hear the rumor of the wind in the leaves.”
Good walking trail! There are baseball fields, soccer fields, playground area, lots of parking and restrooms. Very nice park to get outside!
A hidden jewel in the sands. Good trails with a lot of shade. Due to Rattlesnake season, I saw a family killing the snake. It was quite disturbing to see how people act. The snake wasn’t in anyone’s way. We go into their habitat for loving and relaxing in nature and basically harm the creatures living there.
I wanted a park with a good trail and I’m glad I found this place! Beautiful park. Feels like you’re in a forest at times. Paved trail was easy to walk and secluded (yet less than 1/2 a mile from the interstate!). Playground for kids was nice and clean as well as a covered picnic area that was too.
Nice trail and scenery! There's plenty of people, and the trail is fairly maintained and clean. Distance is 2.5 miles one way if you start at the pond and continue along the trail across I20. I hope the city of Odessa notices how much this trail is utilized and considers investing in it!
