Confirmed from Cottonwood Creek North Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing, well-maintained biking and hiking route with tree shade and a concrete path.

“The trail is well-maintained, offering a serene connection with nature.”
“Even though the weather warm most of the trail was shaded.”
“Cottonwood Creek North Trail is a peaceful escape, perfect for a leisurely walk or bike ride.”
Great place for a nice walk, definitely lots of nature around and exits to the neighborhoods. I was pleased to see a policeman on bike patrolling the area. Lots of shade for even a walk on a hot day.
The east side hike and bike trail is a very nice addition to the Cottonwood Creek west side hike and bike trail. Approximately 2 miles round trip.
Great safe well lit place to go for late night walks. Saw lots of cops while there! made me feel great!
There is a concrete pathway, however if you are walking (or maybe mountain biking) there are worn dirt paths that pretty much parallel the concrete paths. These are awesome, solitude and beauty.

- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
