Confirmed from Cottonwood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Cottonwood Park
“The group I was with had rented a pavilion which made it extremely nice the pavilions were very clean and well maintained I will definitely be coming back to this park again.”
“Beautiful and quite nice place to recreate with your family and beloved ones.”
My wife and I love walking in the park, enjoying the fresh breeze off the lake. It's spacious, clean, and several of covered picnic spots. Facing the lake there are wooden bench swings for your enjoyment. And there are a couple of parking lots as well in different location in the park.
Great park, launched my boat here a few times and it’s always a breeze. Lots of parking and space. Also 2 boat ramps and areas that are easy to launch a kayak or small boat. Nice park to fish off the bank or take a walk around as well
You just can’t miss this place. It’s nature walk, picnic areas, grilling, bicycling, fishing and much more

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
