We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Cowan/Central City Parkway Holliday Nature Preserve Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Lot of land to cover, 1/3rd explored so far. First visit it has a weird build up as you walk in and watch as you slowly got from civilization to wildlife. Ill add more as i explore so far tons of cool things! 2/3 explored found new areas and new ways in.

Following the Morgan Drain (Creek) this trail can be hiked all the way to Owosso, Michigan. There are deer, fox, raccoon, a wide variety of birds and other small mammals. The tree growth is heavily wooded and several streams may be accessed from here.

I love this place! There is a lot of beautiful flora and fauna to see and it's a really peaceful walk.

★★★★★ — Charlotte , Oct 2019

Great place to explore, with SO many deer. It has some steep, rooted climbs, but nothing crazy. It's a good place to go to get a couple miles in, with a ricer view. It can be VERY buggy during the wet months so be prepared. It's also usually pretty busy. Dogs are allowed and usually plentiful.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
