Confirmed from Coyote Creek Lagoon Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with walking, jogging, and birding, plus fishing, and kids' activities.
What runners say about Coyote Creek Lagoon Trail
“Very beautiful ride that leads to Fremont Blvd and beyond.”
“First time going there and I must say very nice views and peaceful to walk around.”
This is located in the Don Edwards San Franciso Bay National Wildlife Refuge. There are umarked small parking areas on both ends of the trail. Access to both is off Fremont Blvd. The trail is west of Fremont Blvd. The trail is flat and follows a levee. It is an unpaved gravel road.
Very peaceful. Lots of birds. I actually saw a snake once. (A nonpoisonous one) It's in walking distance to where I used to work. There were actually more people during the weekdays than weekends. No shade though.
Beautiful scenery. A wide variety of birds and plenty of them - feels like going to an aviary … but better. Saw hawks, ducks, egrets and flocks of small birds. Not crowded at all. Very quiet.
Beautiful trail that no one knows about!! Come here for sunset, it’s beautiful.
