We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Crescent Trail Horizon Hill Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Well-maintained easy to moderate walking paths winding through woods and forest floors, by streams, through fields, into groves, up and down glacial till – all very peaceful. Monarch waystation, lots of good boy scout projects, labeled trees, wonderful for young children.

Great trail to take when you want the convenience of a town park want to get a little work out hiking trails. There are signs that bikes are not allowed in the trails but there are mountain bikers who still insist on going and they don't always watch out for hikers

In my opinion, Crescent trail is the best trail running in Monroe County. We do 10-16 miles every Sunday and it always delivers. Super diverse terrain, well marked trails if you are not familiar. Just a great assest for the members of the community.

Took 6 yr old and 3 yr old and while it was on the more difficult side for them it was still really enjoyable. Because of how the trails are split up you can spend 30-60-90 etc minutes doing reasonable hikes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
