Confirmed from Crowley's Ridge State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Crowley's Ridge State Park, is a beautiful scenery place to visit for sightseeing and also a great place for hiking as well.”

Crowley's Ridge State Park, is a beautiful scenery place to visit for sightseeing and also a great place for hiking as well. I usually go here almost every other week just to hike and do photography. I've attached some of the pictures I've captured while visiting this park.

So, I'm on the fence of letting people know about places that are great. I don't like crowded areas but would also like other people to know about some nice places in an unbiased review. I would think this is a hidden gem of an Arkansas state park. The park overall is very nice.

I've been coming to Crowley's Ridge State Park for over 50 years. It's a great State Park! Most of the structures were built by the CCC back in the 1930s. Facilities include five bunk cabins for group lodging, four duplex cabins with kitchens and fireplaces, one rustic cabin with kitchen, 25 campsites (17 Class B and…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
