Confirmed from Dana Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean park featuring picnic tables, tennis courts and a skate park.
What runners say about Dana Park
“The park is usually pretty clean minus some graffiti at the picnic tables.”
“This park is nice, wish it was shaded and they hired a graffiti removal company but other then that it has a decent amount of equipment for the kids.”
We needed a place to let our car cool down and let the dogs out for a bit. This little park was perfect! Plenty of grass to walk around and a little bit of shade in the parking lot for the car. Definitely recommend for weary travelers needing a rest.
Big park for kids. There is a bunch of grass to run around at and cool add ons to play on. There isn’t really a toddler section, it’s all rated 5-12 years old. The swings could use some WD40 to prevent the screeching sound. There isn’t a bunch of shade on the play set itself but there are trees over the grass area.

Just off the freeway with lawn and shade trees. Museum located across the street
Trail conditions & character
“Only bad part is sometimes the bathrooms aren't unlocked and teenagers like to hang put here too.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
